Slow-cooked greens with diced ham and beef broth for a smoky, flavorful side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans beef stock
  • 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup diced fully cooked ham
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 bunches collard greens, thinly sliced
  • 2 bunches mustard greens, thinly sliced
  • 2 bunches turnip greens, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • In a slow cooker, layer the beef stock, diced tomatoes with green chiles, onion, ham, vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, seasoned salt, red pepper flakes, and bay leaf. Top with collard greens, mustard greens, and turnip greens in the same order given.
  • Slow cook until greens are incredibly tender, for 4 to 6 hours.
