Pour 4 cups of water into a 2-quart microwave-safe dish and microwave until bubbling for about 15 minutes. Break the pasta in half, add it to the water, and microwave on high for 10 to 15 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside, keeping it warm.
Prepare broccoli in the microwave as instructed on the package. Combine the cooked broccoli with noodles, saving some liquid. Mix in 1/4 cup of fried onions and mushroom soup. Pour in the reserved broccoli liquid. Mix well and sprinkle the remaining onions on top. Cover and microwave for about 15 minutes until crispy. Allow to rest before serving.
