Savory onion and cheese quiche, bursting with flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (9 inch) pie crust
  • 0.75 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.75 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, saute onions in hot oil until soft, for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Combine eggs, cream, fresh basil, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and beat until well blended.
  • Spread the onions evenly in the pie crust, pour the egg mixture over them, and generously sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Place the quiche in a preheated oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, which should take around 30 to 40 minutes. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
