Enhance your dishes with Egyptian dukkah spice blend – a mix of toasted seeds and nuts. Perfect for chicken, lamb, or bread with olive oil dip.
Ingredients:
  • 55g (1/3 cup) hazelnuts
  • 40g (1/4 cup) sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 5.00 gm ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2.40 gm sea salt
  • Lebanese bread, to serve
  • Extra virgin olive oil, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. Spread hazelnuts on a baking tray and toast for about 5 minutes until golden. Transfer the toasted hazelnuts to a clean tea towel, rub to remove skins, and finely chop.
  • Toast sesame seeds in a frying pan over medium heat, tossing occasionally, for 2-3 minutes until golden. Stir in coriander, cumin, and pepper and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Combine the hazelnuts and salt with the spice mixture, stirring until well combined. Serve with Lebanese bread and oil on the side, if desired.
