Easy 5-ingredient salmon jerky recipe: bake for 8 hours for a delicious, portable snack or party treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rock salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 4 pounds salmon fillets
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rock salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until sugar and salt dissolve. Remove from heat and let the marinade cool.
  • Slice the salmon into strips, with or without the skin. Place the marinade in a shallow bowl and add the salmon strips. Chill in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 185 degrees F (85 degrees C) and set up your baking sheet with foil topped by a wire rack.
  • Place the salmon strips on the wire rack, making sure to discard any excess marinade.
  • Roast the salmon in the oven until perfectly dehydrated, approximately 8 hours.
