Quick and simple apple pie made with fresh Granny Smith apples, topped with a beautiful lattice crust. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
  • 8 Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored and sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it nice and toasty for your recipe.
  • Combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and cloves in a small bowl.
  • Layer the first pie shell into a 10-inch pie pan. Arrange half of the sliced apples in the shell and sprinkle half of the sugar mixture over them. Add the rest of the apples and top with the remaining sugar mixture.
  • Place the top crust over the apples, then use a fork to seal the edges and a knife to make holes on top. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes.
