Buffalo meat layered with cheese and salsa for a hot and bubbly dip.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground buffalo meat
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1.5 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar medium salsa (such as Tostito's®)
  • 1 pound extra sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the ground buffalo until crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, approximately 5 minutes. Add 1 cup of water and taco seasoning. Simmer over low heat until reduced, around 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Microwave the cream cheese with 1/4 cup of water in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl. Heat, stirring occasionally, until softened and easily spread, for about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Layer the cooled buffalo meat evenly on the bottom of a 9-inch round cake pan or baking dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the meat. Pour the salsa evenly over the cream cheese, and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbling, approximately 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
