Irresistible apple crisp made with sweet apples, cinnamon, and crunchy oat topping - a crowd-pleasing dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 10 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, at room temperature
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare the filling by layering apple slices in the baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon over the apples, then mix gently to coat. Finish by evenly distributing butter pieces on top.
  • Prepare the topping by combining flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add butter and mix with a pastry blender or your fingers until crumbly. Spread the mixture over the apples.
  • Bake until bubbly and golden brown in the preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes.
