Savor a flavorful flank steak with savory mushroom sauce for a tasty and satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 beef flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves
  • 2 packets Swanson® Flavor Boost™ Concentrated Beef Broth
  • 0.25 cup water
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, sizzle 1 tablespoon of oil. Sear beef until it's beautifully browned on both sides to your liking, approximately 10 minutes for medium-rare. Transfer beef out of the skillet.
  • Combine butter and oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté mushrooms for 5 minutes until tender. Add shallot, garlic, and rosemary, cook for 30 seconds. Mix in concentrated broth, water, and remaining butter until butter is melted.
  • Slice beef thinly against the grain on a diagonal. Serve with mushroom mixture.
