Mini sausage pastry rolls: Perfect party bites.
Ingredients:
  • 2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry, thawed
  • 16 cocktail frankfurts
  • Tomato sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Prepare a large baking tray lined with baking paper. Slice each sheet of pastry into 3 strips that are 8cm wide, then cut each strip into 4 rectangles.
  • Place a frankfurt diagonally on each pastry rectangle and roll up to enclose the frankfurt. Repeat the process with the remaining frankfurts and pastry.
  • Cut out 16 stars with a small star-shaped cutter from the remaining pastry. Place one star on each pastry join of the 'blankies'. Transfer to prepared baking trays, brush with egg, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pastry is golden and the frankfurts are heated through. Serve hot.
