Frozen strawberry margarita

Elevate your margarita with a delightful strawberry twist for your guests to enjoy.
Ingredients:
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar
  • 20.00 gm boiling water
  • 21.00 gm fresh lime juice
  • Caster sugar, extra, to serve
  • 1 x 250g punnet strawberries, washed, hulled, quartered
  • 375.00 ml ice cubes
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) tequila
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Cointreau liqueur
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar and water in a heatproof bowl, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Pour the lime juice into a small bowl. Spread the extra caster sugar on a plate. Dip the rims of 4 martini glasses into the juice, then into the sugar to coat them.
  • In a blender, combine the sugar syrup, strawberries, ice cubes, tequila, Cointreau, and the rest of the lime juice. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the margarita evenly into the glasses and enjoy!
