Fusilli pasta bake with Italian sausage, broccoli, and red wine and garlic sauce

Satisfy a crowd with this robust sausage and broccoli pasta bake in a flavorful red wine and garlic sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 500g Fusilli
  • 1 jar Red Wine & Garlic sauce
  • 650g Italian sausages, skin removed
  • 200g fresh ricotta
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 2 heads of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 80g grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
  • 80ml extra virgin olive oil
  • Rock salt, for pasta water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
  • Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil, then add rock salt (7 grams per litre of water).
  • Sauté the sausage meat in a fry pan with oil, rosemary, and garlic until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Simultaneously, add the Fusilli to the boiling water and stir. Then, after 5 minutes, introduce the broccoli florets.
  • Drain the pasta 3 minutes earlier than the box instructions recommend.
  • Toss the cooked pasta and broccoli with the flavorful Barilla Red Wine & Garlic sauce, sausage, creamy ricotta, and a generous portion of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
  • Transfer to an ovenproof dish, generously sprinkle with the remaining Parmigiano Reggiano, and bake in a preheated 200°C oven for 15 minutes.
