Delicious and easy chocolate sheet cake - perfect for parties!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup buttermilk
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 (16 ounce) box confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease an 11x17 jelly roll pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together white sugar and flour. In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup of butter with water and 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder over medium heat until well combined. Pour the melted butter mixture into the bowl with sugar and flour; mix well. Stir in baking soda, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20-25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack after removing from oven.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup of butter with 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder and milk until well combined. Beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in pecans and pour the frosting over the cooled cake.
