Gluten-Free Meat Lover’s Pizza

Gluten-free Bisquick® crust loaded with sausage, veggies, and gooey cheese - a delicious twist on traditional pizza for an easy Italian meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups Bisquick™ Gluten Free mix
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups gluten-free shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/2 lb gluten-free bulk Italian pork sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 can (8 oz) gluten-free pizza sauce
  • 2 oz gluten-free sliced pepperoni
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F and generously coat a 12-inch pizza pan with non-stick cooking spray (no flour).
  • Combine Bisquick mix, basil, water, oil, and eggs in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed. Spread the mixture in a pan and sprinkle evenly with 1/2 cup of cheese. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté the sausage, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is cooked through and the vegetables are tender. Remove from heat and drain, if needed.
  • Spread savory pizza sauce on the golden brown crust. Arrange the flavorful pepperoni and sausage mix over the sauce. Generously sprinkle the remaining 1 1/2 cups of melted cheese on top. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is gooey and irresistible.
