Golden-brown parsnips caramelized with butter and black pepper for a sweet and flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound parsnips, peeled, cut in half crosswise, and cut into narrow strips lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, cover parsnips with water and bring to a boil. Simmer until tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Drain, pat dry with paper towels, and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter until sizzling, then add the parsnips in a single layer. Season generously with salt and black pepper. Saute until parsnips are golden brown on each side, about 5 to 8 minutes per side.
