Grandma's exclusive family recipe, perfect for newlyweds, customizable with various gelatin and pudding flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package lime flavored Jell-O® mix
  • 0.75 cup boiling water
  • 0.5 cup cold water
  • 4 (1.3 ounce) envelopes whipped topping mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
  • 1.5 cups milk
Instructions:
  • Combine the gelatin with boiling water until fully dissolved, then incorporate the cold water and let it sit.
  • Prepare and bake cake according to instructions in a 9x13 inch pan. Allow cake to cool for 20-25 minutes.
  • Using a skewer, create holes in the cake about 1 inch apart. Drizzle the gelatin into the holes and over the cake. Chill the cake in the refrigerator as you prepare the topping.
  • Combine instant pudding mix, whipped topping mix, and milk until thick and creamy. Use mixture to frost cake, then chill in the refrigerator.
