Try these delectable apple turnovers with a zesty orange vanilla sauce, perfect with a scoop of ice cream!
Ingredients:
  • 2 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and quartered
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then wrap each apple piece in a crescent roll. Place them seam side down in an 8x8 baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon for a delightful touch.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter with sugar and orange juice until boiling. Take off heat, add vanilla, and pour over rolls.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the pastry turns golden and the apples are tender. Drizzle the sauce over the rolls before serving.
