Satisfying chicken soup made from grandma's simple recipe, perfect for using leftovers and pantry items. Warm and comforting for all to savor.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups wide egg noodles
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 12 cups chicken broth
  • 1.5 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 0.33333334326744 cup cornstarch
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 3 cups diced, cooked chicken meat
Instructions:
  • Prepare the ingredients.
  • 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook egg noodles and oil until tender, roughly 8 minutes. Drain, rinse with cool water, and drain once more.
  • In a Dutch oven, bring the broth, salt, and poultry seasoning to a boil. Add the celery and onion, then simmer covered until the vegetables have softened, approximately 15 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water, then gradually add to soup. Include noodles and chicken, and cook until heated through for 2 to 3 minutes.
