Ingredients:
  • 1 pound pork neck bones
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 large potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 2 large tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 large carrot, sliced
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, add pork neck bones and cover them with water. Bring to a boil, then skim off any impurities from the surface with a slotted spoon. Drain the bones.
  • Place the bones back in the pot and pour in 10 cups of water. Add potatoes, tomatoes, onion, and carrot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until flavors meld. Season with sugar and salt.
