Cozy hamburger casserole with creamy mushroom soup and egg noodles - a nostalgic grandma favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing, or as needed
  • 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup salted cashews
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously butter a casserole dish. Arrange the uncooked noodles in the dish.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté beef, onion, and celery until beef is browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes, then drain excess grease.
  • Combine condensed soups, mushrooms, and milk with the beef mixture until well blended; pour over the noodles in the dish. Cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Uncover, add cashews, and bake until bubbly, about 30 more minutes.
