Delicate lace cookies with butter, oats, and vanilla - a simple and sweet treat for tea time.
Ingredients:
  • parchment paper
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats (such as Quaker™)
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Microwave the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until it's melted.
  • Combine sugar and stir until mixed well. Incorporate beaten egg thoroughly. Mix in oats, flour, vanilla, salt, and baking powder.
  • Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, allowing space for spreading.
  • Bake until edges are golden brown, approximately 8 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Allow cookies to cool completely on the foil before removing.
