Simple sweet and sour cabbage slaw pairs perfectly with grilled mains like burgers, hot dogs, pork, and beef.
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium head green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons celery seed
Instructions:
  • Combine the cabbage and bell pepper in a large bowl. generously season with salt and mix well. Let it rest for 45 minutes, then drain any excess liquid and return to the bowl.
  • Combine the vinegar and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir into the cabbage mixture. Mix in the celery seed and chill before serving.
