Fluffy sourdough pancakes with a rich, delicious flavor, reminiscent of grandma's cooking.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup sourdough starter, at room temperature
Instructions:
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt by sifting them together into a medium bowl.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Mix in milk and melted butter. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients; mix briefly. Fold in sourdough starter. Let the batter rest while the griddle heats up, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Heat the griddle to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Spoon pancake batter onto the sizzling griddle. Cook until pancakes fluff up and slightly dry on top for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip and cook until beautifully golden on the other side, around 2 minutes.
