Quick and delightful raisin scones, ready in just 30 minutes - a delicious treat for everyone!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
  • Combine the sour cream and baking soda in a small bowl, and let it sit.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a large baking sheet.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt in a large bowl. Add butter and mix until mixture resembles crumbs. Stir in sour cream mixture and egg until just combined. Gently fold in raisins.
  • Place the dough on a floured surface, give it a gentle knead, then shape it into a 3/4 inch thick round. Cut it into 12 wedges and put them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  • Bake until the bottom turns golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
