Creamy lemon sherbet made with just half-and-half, sugar, and fresh lemons.

Ingredients:

1 quart half-and-half
1.5 cups sugar
0.5 cup lemon juice
lemons, zested

Instructions:

Combine half-and-half, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a bowl. Freeze until ice crystals form, approximately 1 hour. Stir mixture to evenly distribute crystals, then freeze again until crystals form once more, about 1 hour.
Freeze and stir two more times. Cover the bowl with a lid and freeze until solid, approximately 2 hours.
