Lemon-infused buttermilk pound cake: rich, moist, and bursting with citrus flavor!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter-flavored extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and generously grease and flour a fancy fluted tube pan like Bundt®.
  • Triple sift the flour, salt, and baking soda into a bowl for ultimate smoothness and perfect incorporation.
  • Cream together sugar and shortening until velvety and luscious. Mix in flour mixture, buttermilk, eggs, lemon extract, vanilla extract, and butter extract until just combined. Transfer batter to prepared tube pan.
  • Simply bake in the preheated oven for about 75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
