Quick and delicious snickerdoodle cookies that evoke nostalgic flavors of grandma's kitchen.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together white sugar, butter, and eggs until smooth and creamy. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, then stir into the creamed butter mixture until dough holds together.
  • Combine the white sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, ensuring they are thoroughly mixed.
  • Shape dough into small balls (approximately 2 teaspoons each), coat with cinnamon-sugar, and arrange 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
  • Place cookies in the preheated oven, ensuring they are on the center rack, and bake for 7 minutes. Then, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
