Classic pound cake: Rich, dense treat with equal parts butter, sugar, eggs, and flour for ultimate indulgence.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups butter, softened
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Before baking, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare three 8x4-inch loaf pans by greasing them and lining with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to blend sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Alternate between adding flour and milk, mixing until just combined. Pour batter evenly into prepared loaf pans.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 70 minutes.
  • Using a small knife, carefully loosen the edges of each pan. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then flip them over, remove the parchment paper, and cool them fully on wire racks.
