Make easy, crunchy popcorn balls with butter, corn syrup, sugar, and vanilla for a sweet treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
  • 5 quarts popped popcorn
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt together sugar, corn syrup, butter, and water. Heat the mixture until it reaches the hard-crack stage at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Remove the saucepan from heat, stir in vanilla or vinegar until well combined.
  • Drizzle the mixture over the freshly popped popcorn while gently stirring. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before shaping the mixture into 3-inch round balls.
