Decadent chocolate cake topped with Aunt Mary's Vanilla Frosting for the ultimate indulgence.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot, brewed coffee
  • 2 eggs
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a spacious bowl, sifting them together.
  • Combine oil, milk, vanilla, coffee, and eggs and beat until well combined. The batter will have a thin consistency. Pour the mixture into two 9-inch round pans that have been greased and floured.
  • Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 25 minutes, or until the top bounces back when touched. Then, let the layers cool on wire racks.
