Create a tasty taco pizza using refrigerated pizza dough for a quick family dinner in just 40 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning, divided
  • 1 (10 ounce) package prepared pizza dough
  • 1 cup fat-free refried beans
  • 0.25 cup salsa
  • 4 ounces tomato paste
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Start by sizzling the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat and then generously dust half of the package of zesty taco seasoning for a burst of flavor. Stir and cook the beef until it's perfectly browned and crumbly, which should take around 8 minutes. Remember to drain off any remaining grease for a leaner dish.
  • Press the pizza dough into a 12-inch round pan, creating a slightly thickened rim. Combine refried beans and salsa, then spread over the dough. Mix tomato paste, water, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and the remaining taco seasoning. Spread this sauce over the bean mixture. Add cooked beef, onions, and cheese on top evenly.
  • Bake until the crust is golden and crispy, and the cheese is bubbling and starting to brown, for about 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven.
