Savory herb rub with olive oil on slow-roasted pork shanks.
Ingredients:
1cupolive oil
2tablespoons dried marjoram
2tablespoons dried basil
2tablespoons choppedfresh thyme
2tablespoons choppedfresh rosemary
2tablespoons sea salt
1teaspoonvegetable bouillon powder
6 (1 1/2) pounds pork shanks
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine olive oil, marjoram, basil, rosemary, thyme, sea salt, paprika, black pepper, and vegetable bouillon powder in a bowl. Massage the herb rub onto the pork shanks and place them on a large baking pan.
Cook the shanks in the oven until tender and the skin is crispy, approximately 3 hours.
