Savory herb rub with olive oil on slow-roasted pork shanks.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons dried marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable bouillon powder
  • 6 (1 1/2) pounds pork shanks
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine olive oil, marjoram, basil, rosemary, thyme, sea salt, paprika, black pepper, and vegetable bouillon powder in a bowl. Massage the herb rub onto the pork shanks and place them on a large baking pan.
  • Cook the shanks in the oven until tender and the skin is crispy, approximately 3 hours.
