Savory sausage spaghetti with a cheesy twist – perfect for busy nights!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 0.5 onion, chopped
  • 0.5 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese, or more to taste
  • 0.25 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain well.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown and crumble the sausage for 5 to 7 minutes. Discard any excess grease. Add onion, bell pepper, and margarine to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook until the onion is soft for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning into the sausage mixture; simmer until the flavors meld. Add Parmesan cheese, then drizzle over cooked spaghetti and finish with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella on top. Enjoy!
