Spooky pumpkin-shaped meatloaf for a festive Halloween dinner!
Ingredients:
  • 4 pounds lean ground beef
  • 3 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 0.25 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 1 pinch garlic salt, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 drops orange food coloring, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix together beef, bread crumbs, eggs, onion, spaghetti sauce, Parmesan cheese, and garlic salt in a large bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bowl and invert it onto a large cake pan to catch any drippings. Shape the top into a stem and create a playful or spooky pumpkin face on the meat using your fingers.
  • Mix spaghetti sauce and orange food coloring in a small bowl. Brush the sauce mixture onto the meatloaf and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  • Cook in the oven until the center is no longer pink, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Remove excess grease from the cake pan or carefully place the loaf onto a serving plate.
