Healthy oatmeal cookies with whole wheat flour, peanut butter and chocolate chips, cinnamon, and nutmeg for extra flavor. A must-try twist on a classic treat!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter chips
  • 0.5 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the egg whites and egg one at a time, beating well, then mix in the vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; gradually add to the butter mixture. Fold in the quick oats, peanut butter chips, and chocolate chips. Spoon rounded portions onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
