Create a zesty Mexican-inspired papaya and strawberry ice cream in just 5 steps with chile-lime seasoning.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large ripe papaya
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 5 teaspoons chili-lime seasoning (such as Tajin®)
  • 2 cups chopped strawberries
Instructions:
  • Halve the papaya lengthwise, remove the seeds and pulp, then scoop out the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  • Combine heavy whipping cream, brown sugar, and chili-lime seasoning in the blender or food processor; blend until smooth for about 30 seconds.
  • Transfer the mixture into a sealed bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Transfer the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze as per the manufacturer's guidelines, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Stir in the chopped strawberries during the final 5 minutes of churning.
