Upgrade your holiday pies with a flavorful gingersnap pie crust - a delicious alternative to plain graham crackers. Easy and tasty!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package gingersnap cookies
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Assemble all the ingredients you'll need.
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for the perfect temperature to start cooking.
  • Keep 12 to 18 whole gingersnap cookies for later. Crush the rest of the cookies until you get 1 1/2 cups of fine crumbs. Save any extra cookies for another recipe.
  • Combine gingersnap crumbs, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl, stirring until fully mixed.
  • Evenly spread the mixture in a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Position whole gingersnap cookies vertically along the edge of the springform pan, pressing them into the base and slightly overlapping if needed to ensure they are secure.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 7 minutes until the crust is set. Allow the crust to cool completely before adding the filling.
