Transform hard boiled eggs into a decadent casserole by combining them with crispy bacon and gooey cheese sauce, then bake to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 12 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and place the bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly browned. Then, drain, crumble, and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, gently nestle the eggs and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil and promptly take it off the heat. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 to 12 minutes, then cool, peel, and chop.
  • Prepare the casserole dish by greasing it lightly. Layer half of the chopped egg followed by half of the bacon, and then repeat the process.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft and translucent. Whisk in flour. Gradually pour in milk and shredded cheese, stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy. Drizzle over stacked eggs and bacon.
  • Place in a hot oven and bake for half an hour.
