Spicy chili popcorn for a flavorful and fun snack!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 0.5 cup white popcorn kernels
  • 0.5 teaspoon popcorn salt, divided
  • 0.125 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground chipotle chile pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground ancho chile pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large pot over medium-high heat, heat canola oil until a popcorn kernel pops to indicate it's ready.
  • Drop popcorn kernels into sizzling oil, sprinkle with half of the popcorn salt, and stir until evenly coated. Cover the pot tightly with foil, poke around 10 holes in it with a knife, and cook until all kernels pop, for 5 to 10 minutes. Take the pot off the heat.
  • Evenly coat popcorn with remaining salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, chipotle chile pepper, and ancho chile pepper. Mix well for perfect seasoning.
