Create buzz-worthy Halloween honeybee cupcakes with Betty Crocker® mix and gel for a sweet treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 2 teaspoons fresh orange juice
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon yellow paste food color
  • 3 tubes (0.68 oz each) Betty Crocker™ black decorating gel
  • 36 miniature marshmallows
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line 24 mini muffin cups with paper baking cups.
  • Prepare cake mix according to package instructions, combining water, oil, and eggs. Gently mix in orange peel and orange juice. Fill muffin cups three-fourths full. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling racks. Once completely cooled, repeat the process to make 48 more mini cupcakes. Enjoy!
  • In a medium bowl, whip frosting, honey, and food color with an electric mixer until smooth. Frost the cupcakes and use black decorating gel to create bees' stripes. Cut miniature marshmallows in half with dampened kitchen scissors and place them on the cupcakes for the bees' wings.
