Hot chilli sauce

Delicious and easy user-submitted recipe. Not taste-tested by our team.
Ingredients:
  • 250g chillies, roughly chopped (see Notes)
  • 2 capsicum, chargrilled and skin removed
  • 400g canned tomatoes (or fresh)
  • 56.25 gm white sugar
  • 62.50 ml white wine vinegar
  • 20.00 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4.80 gm salt
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • Splash water, if needed
Instructions:
  • Adjust the sauce's heat level by deseeding half of the chillies.
  • In a saucepan, mix all the ingredients together over high heat. Allow the mixture to come to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium. Let the sauce simmer for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens. Remove from heat and let it stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Blend the mixture until creamy, adding a splash of water if needed. Transfer to sterilized jars and savor every bite!
