Crispy, bacon-infused hash browns with savory onions - a hearty breakfast to satisfy any hunger.
Ingredients:
  • 10 cups large chunks of peeled potatoes
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 3 large onions, sliced
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
  • Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water until half an inch above the potatoes. Stir in salt until dissolved. Boil until tender for 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and let cool.
  • In a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until evenly browned. Remove the bacon, drain, let it cool, and then crumble it. Keep the bacon fat in the skillet and place it back on the stove.
  • Transfer the potato chunks, onion, and crumbled bacon to a skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until the potatoes start to brown and the onions turn translucent, approximately 25 minutes.
