Cheesy beef and noodle casserole with layers of creamy sauce and cheddar, baked to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 10 ounces egg noodles
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can peeled and diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1.5 cups sour cream
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 0.5 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bring a generously salted pot of water to a vigorous boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until perfectly tender; then drain.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground beef until browned. Stir in the tomatoes with their juice, along with salt and sugar, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Combine sour cream, cream cheese, and onion in a bowl. Layer half of the egg noodles in a 9x13 inch baking dish, followed by the meat mixture and cream mixture. Add the remaining noodles on top and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25 minutes.
