Indulge in savory Italian-style beef and spinach dumplings in rich red sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 jar (26 oz) primavera spaghetti sauce
  • 1 jar (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups Bisquick Heart Smart® or Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed, squeezed to drain
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
  • In a 4-quart Dutch oven, brown the beef over medium heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat. Add spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, spinach, cheese, and milk in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms. Use a spoon to drop 10 dollops of dough onto the hot spaghetti mixture.
  • Cook gently for 10 minutes without a lid, then cover and continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
