Breaded and fried pork cubes with mushrooms in hunter gravy, served over noodles.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds boneless pork chops, cubed
  • oil for frying
  • plain bread crumbs
  • 3 (1 ounce) packages dry mushroom gravy mix
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms, coarsely chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) package dry egg noodles
Instructions:
  • Tenderize the cubed pork by pounding it and then cut each piece in half.
  • Warm oil in a skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Coat pork in egg, then bread crumbs, and place in the hot oil. Cook until crispy and golden brown, then transfer to a plate to keep warm.
  • Follow the instructions on the gravy mix package, then add in mushrooms and simmer together.
  • While waiting, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles until al dente, which should take about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the noodles afterwards.
  • Place the pork on top of the noodles and generously cover with the savory gravy.
