Janet's comforting banana bread is perfect for chilly mornings with its rich, nutty flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups mashed ripe banana
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), then give two 8x4-inch loaf pans a charming greasing and flouring.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring they are well mixed after each addition. Gently fold in banana and sour cream.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, pecans, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon. Add this mixture to the banana batter and stir until just combined. Pour into the prepared loaf pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of each loaf comes out clean. Remove from the pans and cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or cold.
