Savory sausage and egg casserole topped with gooey melted cheese and crispy bread slices.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh, ground pork sausage
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1.5 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 slices bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Brown the sausage in a skillet, then transfer it to a square casserole dish. Layer onion slices over the sausage, followed by a generous portion of cheese. Top with 4 slices of bread that perfectly cover the dish.
  • In a bowl, combine eggs and milk, then pour the mixture evenly over the bread until it almost reaches the top of the dish.
  • Place in a hot oven and bake for 45 minutes.
