Juicy ground chicken burgers infused with ginger, teriyaki, and pineapple for a delicious Hawaiian twist - a taste of paradise in every bite!
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 0.33333334326744 cup diced red onion
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 0.75 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 pineapple rings
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns, split
  • 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise, or to taste
  • 8 canned jalapeno pepper slices, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a small skillet over medium heat, sauté red onion, garlic, and ginger in oil until the onion is soft and translucent, around 5 minutes. Allow to cool.
  • Prepare the grill by heating it to a medium-high temperature and lightly oiling the grate.
  • In a large bowl, mix together chicken, panko, teriyaki sauce, salt, and pepper. Gently fold in cooled onion using your hands until well combined. Form 4 burger patties.
  • Grill burgers until cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes per side. Add provolone slices to melt in the last few minutes of cooking. Use an instant-read thermometer to check that the burgers reach 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Grill pineapple slices alongside the burgers until warm, about 1 minute per side.
  • After cooking the burgers, lightly spread mayonnaise on the hamburger buns. Then, place the cooked burgers on the buns and top them with pineapple slices and jalapeno peppers.
