Spice up your Buffalo chicken wrap with a Bourbon-infused hot sauce for a sweet and spicy twist!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup whiskey (such as Jack Daniel's® Tennessee Honey)
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 4 (6 inch) flour tortillas
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions:
  • Combine whiskey, brown sugar, ketchup, hot sauce, butter, vinegar, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until bubbling, about 5 minutes, whisking occasionally. Lower the heat and simmer gently until the sauce thickens to a syrupy consistency for about 15 more minutes. Let cool off the heat.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sear chicken breasts in olive oil until cooked through, about 10 minutes. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C) before serving.
  • Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and shred using two forks.
  • Discard oil from skillet. Return shredded chicken to the skillet without cleaning. Place over low heat, pour sauce over chicken, and cook while stirring until chicken is coated and sauce sticks, 1 to 2 minutes.
  • 1. Preheat a clean skillet over low heat. Warm a tortilla in the skillet for about 1 minute. Flip the tortilla and add 2 slices of provolone cheese. Cook until the cheese slightly melts, roughly 1 minute. Fill the tortilla with a quarter of the chicken mixture and wrap it up. Repeat with the rest of the tortillas, cheese, and chicken mixture.
