Delicious banana cake perfect with coffee.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9 or 10 inch tube pan.
  • Cream the shortening until it's light and fluffy, then gradually add the sugar. Blend in the eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each addition.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt by sifting them together.
  • Stir vanilla into the evaporated milk. Gradually mix in the flour mixture and liquid ingredients with the cream mixture. Fold in mashed bananas and chopped nuts. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C and bake for 45 minutes.
